A great deal and pics of Mini Workshop

Now through Monday I'm offering these cute stamps sets (new). With a $50.00 or more order (before taxes) when you shop my Stampin' Up! website.
http://sandyglover.stampinup.net/ After you order just send me an email ---glover50s@carolina.rr.com or give me a call 704-7393297 so I can check your order and to get your snail mail. I've only two sets left so place your order soon.

Now on to the Workshop...

I call it my Mini Workshop because there was just two of us. We had a great time though, which is what it's all about. Now, meet Mary, who's creativity is really busting loose. She is relatively new to this but loves it and can't get enough of it. Right, Mary? Would you believe we were at it seven hours.Hmmmm, I see a prospect demo, maybe?

Anyway let me introduce you.... Say"HI" Mary!

Now I got to tell you, between the two of us ,we really know how to make a mess but oh so fun. All of the projects we did were from start to finish. No pre-cutting. So here's pics of what we did... This first one is beautiful. I saw a card on my friend Tammy's blog where she embossed the "Because I Care" flower and loved it. http://www.tarheelstamper.blogspot.com/

Next is a thank you card with a post-it note holder gift to go with it. I saw how to make this medallion on Slitcoaststampers. Can you guess which ones I made ?

One more pic of an envelope card I saw on Splitcoaststampers...
Sorry the pic is so dark.(not the camera, it's the photographer)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and "Stamp Till You Can't"

My Bow-tiful Card

Here's a pic of Saturday's Stamping 411 Card Challenge:

And here is what I came up with:

Card stock colors are Daffodil Delight and Whisper White along with DSP from the Subtles Collection, Marina Mist. I love this collection. Lots and lots of DSP to match the colors of Subtles. For the small ribbon bows I used the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (love it) in Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist. The larger ribbon at the top was made using the Magic Bow Maker I purchased from my friend and Upline, Lee Conrey. Find out more about it on her blog: http://stampingleeyours.blogspot.com The sentiment is from the set : Silhouette Sentiments.

Elements of Style Thank You

This started out to be a birthday card but then changed my mind and made it a Thank You card. I'm not real thrilled about how I placed the sentiment but couldn't change it. Those pesky little dimensionals stick tight once you put them down. I was afraid I would ruin the card. Anyway, here it is.

Supplies used:

Wild Wasabi, So Safron and Whisper White card stock.

So Safron, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red and Black Stazon inks.

The base of the card was cut using my Bigshot and the Scallop Circle Die. I used my Circle Cutter to cut the So Safron layer and the Whisper White layer was cut with the Bigshot and the Scallop Circle #2 Die.

I stamped the Whisper White with Elements of Style stamp set and used my Blender Pens and Markers to color in the image.

I punched the sentiment out using the 1" and 1 3/8" circle punches and the Scallop Circle Punch.

I also used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder on the So Safron Circle layer and on the Scallop Circle used in the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to hear your comments.

Saturday's Sketch Challenge

Here is the Saturday 411 Card Challenge sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

I decided to go to my Color Coach and see what I could find.

Here's the colors I decided on:

I used the three colors in the Sweet Set. I wasn't sure at first if I would like the color combo but the more I look at it ,the more I like it.

For the punches I used: Boho Blossoms Extra Large #119858

5 Petal Flower Extra Large #119880

Scallop Edge Border #119882

Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border #119275

The Stamp sets are: Aviary #120462 and Silhouette Sentiments, which is a Hostess Level 1 set in the new Catalog.

New Color Coach

I received all my goodies, which I ordered from the new Idea Book and Catalog, on Tuesday but was unable to go through it until today. OMG! It's Christmas in July. Among the things I ordered was the Color Coach. Now, I'm one who likes to pick and determine the colors I put together but I'm lovin' this little tool. One side gives you the particular color and the other side shows you ways to put that color with other colors. Well worth the money. So here's a pic and remember all of these items I show you here on my blog can be ordered thru my Stampin' Up! website at a discount.

Another 411 card challenge

This weeks challenge was quite fun. I wasn't sure how the red and yellow would look but I'm liken' it. I used Whisper White, Real Red and Daffodil Delight card stock and inks. The base of the card is embossed with the new Textured Impressions Vintage Wallpaper. The smaller yellow layer is embossed with Textured Impressions Perfect Polka Dots. ( I love my Bigshot) The smaller layer of Whisper White is stamped with a favorite set of mine, Watercolor Trio. The sentiment is is Elegant Thank You. The DSP is Greenhouse Gala. For the small flower I used the Boho Blossoms punch. Hope you like it. Have a great day and "Stamp Till You Can't"

Simple and to the point

My boss asked me to make a card for our District Manager who just had major surgery. I had to make it extra big so everyone at work could sign it. So here's what I came up with. Simple and to the point.

Sketch Frenzy Friday

I did this card for Sketch Frenzy Friday hosted by Sharon Field. You can see this talented lady's blog here ; http://createdbyu.blogspot.com/

Card stock colors are; Whisper White, Bashful Blue and Marina Mist. I used the co-ordinating inks. The stamp sets I used are "Water Color Trio" order#120084 and "Bouquet Bunch", which is no longer available because I don't see it in the new catalog. It may have been a hostess set. Honestly I don't remember. Anyway, sorry. Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong.
